Children using a range of learning tools together in a calm, welcoming classroom

Methodology

Structured, personal and purposeful learning.

At FÁS NeuroLearning, we combine structured programmes, individual progress tracking and small-group learning. Children may work independently on their own personalised goals, take part in guided activities, or collaborate with others through projects, games and social learning tasks.

Every child follows a programme designed around their learning profile, strengths and needs, helping them build skills, confidence, independence and meaningful learning strategies.

Learning programmes and personalised goals

Support is not based on one single programme for every child. Each learning pathway is built around individual goals and current barriers to learning.

Child practising literacy with a book and letter tiles

Literacy & Dyslexia

We use structured programmes including Sounds-Write and Read Naturally to support phonics, decoding, spelling, reading fluency and comprehension. If a child follows a different literacy programme at school, we adapt our support to complement it and promote consistency across settings.

Child learning maths with colourful manipulatives

Maths & Dyscalculia

We use Dynamo Maths as a structured foundation for number sense, basic operations and problem-solving. If a child follows a different maths programme at school, we adapt our teaching to complement it and maintain consistency across settings.

Child developing handwriting, motor planning and practical learning skills

Dyspraxia (DCD) & Dysgraphia Support

Project-based activities help develop spatial awareness, motor planning, sequencing, organisation and practical independence. Depending on the child’s needs, we use Handwriting Without Tears as a foundation for handwriting and Write from the Start to support spatial orientation, visual perception, hand–eye coordination, directionality and fine motor skills.

Child using visual planning and organisation tools

Executive Function & ADHD

We strengthen focus through strategy games and LEGO-based activities, while targeted tasks develop planning, working memory and cognitive flexibility. The Zones of Regulation programme and age-appropriate mindfulness practices help children build self-awareness, emotional regulation and self-control.

Child using picture cards for language learning

Language for Learning

We use structured programmes and approaches including Talk Boost and Colourful Semantics to support vocabulary, language processing, sentence development and understanding. If a child uses a different language programme at school, we adapt our support to complement it and maintain consistency across settings.

Consistent, practical supportWe can also work alongside strategies, recommendations or programmes already being used by school, parents or other professionals to create a joined-up learning pathway.

Sessions

Each session follows a clear rhythm while giving children space to work independently, practise targeted skills and collaborate with others.
